As a Recruitment Agency we at Keiki Early Years Recruitment feel that we have an obligation to both candidates who apply for nursery positions as well as to our Clients who own the nurseries, to get it right and to put forward the right people for nursery jobs.
Finding a job is like dating, sometimes you go for an interview and find that everything is amazing, and you are happy and accept the offer. Other interviews may not go so well and you can not see yourself being happy for numerous reasons – the nursery setting is too big and you are used to working in a smaller setting, you are wanting to work part time and the nursery is only looking to employ someone full time, the salary that is being offered may not be enough etc.
You will then attend more interviews until you find the right childcare setting for you. Some people in life stay with the first person they meet whereas others will date a few people until they find the person of their dreams.
As an Early Years Recruitment Agency, Keiki will listen to your needs and requirements and will match them up with that of the nursery’s. If candidates are sent to interviews and the needs do not match, then the time of both the nursery and the candidate is wasted which is not fair to either.
If a Recruitment Agency places someone in the wrong position where they are not happy then the person will not stay for long and leave. If this happens a couple of times they will be seen as a “job jumper” and could potentially make that person unemployable and ruin their career.
At Keiki Early Years Recruitment we pride ourselves that we do not send just anyone to a nursery interview. We spend a long time talking to the nurseries to find out the type of person they are looking to employ as well as the details of the job. Moreover, we spend time with candidates to learn what type of position they are looking for as well as the details – salary, distance willing to travel, position etc.
If you are looking for a nursery position or for more information about available positions or if you are needing help with recruitment please get in touch by calling Karin on 07973924377 or email your CV to karin@keiki-recruitment.co.uk and we would be happy to work with you.
