Owner of Keiki Early Years Recruitment

My name is Karin, and I am the owner of Keiki Early Years Recruitment.

I have over 15 year’s experience in working within the early years sector, which gives me a firm understanding and appreciation of the industry and the jobs I am recruiting for, this allows me to provide both clients and candidates a consultative, expert service.

After working for childcare recruitment agencies I took a leap of faith and set up Keiki Early Years Recruitment during the COVID-19 pandemic, and have been supporting the recruitment needs of nurseries since that time, a period during which nurseries have faced unprecedented hiring and retention challenges.

My aim, ethos and values for Keiki are simple – it’s all about honesty, integrity and a truly personal service – we won’t send clients 100’s of CV’s in the hope that “something sticks” and we won’t introduce our candidates to roles that are not carefully matched to their requirements.

I am a mother to four wonderful children, Kirstie, James, Yaneena and Leela and grandmother to Ariel – who all inspire me each and every day.

Away from Keiki I am an active member of my local community and can often be found fundraising for local causes by making and selling jams and cakes. I also rescue and care for wildlife, rehabilitating them until they are ready for release back to their natural habitat – like Bobby the blind fox, or Russell the crow – who was well enough to leave – but didn’t want to!

I am a dancer with countless awards and trophies, although now take it a little more easy, training and taking exams instead.
