A popular private family owned day nursery are looking for a Nursery Manager to join their established friendly team of nursery. The position has been made available due to the nursery expanding. The nursery is easy to commute from Brixton, Streatham, Battersea and immediate surrounding areas.

Position: Nursery Manager
Location: Clapham, London SW4

Key Responsibilities as a Nursery Manager:

  • Overseeing daily running of the nursery making sure the nursery is being run at a high standard of childcare and education.
  • Be able to lead, mentor, develop existing and newly recruited staff.
  • Developing and upholding nursery policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that safeguarding and health & safety standards are being adhered to.
  • Managing and creating staff rotas, training and appraisals.
  • Being able to build strong relationships with parents and the community.
  • Prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections.

Qualifications to be considered for the position:

  • Level 3 and above or equivalent childcare qualification

Experience in order to be considered for the position:

  • At least 2 years as a Nursery Manager within a nursery setting with an age range of 0-5 years

Skills in order to be considered for the position:

  • Great organizational skills, being able to communicate appropriately
