A private day nursery in Battersea SW London are looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to assist in leading an enthusiastic and passionate team. The nursery is easy to commute from Victoria, Stockwell, Streatham, Brixton, Clapham and immediate surrounding areas.
The successful candidate for the Deputy Nursery Manager position must have strong communication, a depth of knowledge of the EYFS, management and interpersonal skills. The individual must be highly motivated, have a positive attitude towards working with children and be ready to lead and manage our team.
Responsibilities of a Deputy Nursery Manager includes:
- Working closely with the Nursery Manager to manage and organise the room.
- Ensure that all children attending the nursery are kept safe and receive rich and stimulating play experiences appropriate to their age and stage of development.
- Supporting the staff in the room
- Planning appropriately for children using the EYFS framework
- Maintaining accurate and effective children’s records
- Working in partnership with parents/carers
- Following and understanding safeguarding procedures and ensuring that children are kept safe
The ideal applicant for the Deputy Nursery Manager position:
- Must be at least Level 3 qualified
- Have a detailed understanding of the requirements set by Ofsted
- An excellent knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families
- Experience of managing/supervising staff
- Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside,
- Managing and maintaining administration requirements
- Have a clear DBS, have 2 satisfactory references
